Honest Wolf x Woolbabe: A link up between two of NZ’s most innovative Wool boutiques.

They always say that if you’re going to create a product, you should always base it on what you know. Well when you’re raising a child, have another on the way and happen to be overseeing a flock of 25,000 ewes, what could be a better fit to the range than a homegrown woollen Moses Basket.

For the last 14 months, we have been collaborating with our good friends over at Woolbabe to create a high-quality, safe sleeping bassinet for babies. Made with our Papanui Estate Wool, fitted with a Woolbabe merino and organic cotton sheet, the Moses Basket is a warm and breathable safe space for the littlest of little ones.

The Moses Basket is designed to hold infants up until the six month milestone. With the help from our Papanui Estate Wool and Woolbabe’s wealth of nighttime knowledge, the semi-enclosure creates a secure and breathable environment for your newest addition to the family.

With woollen fibre being renowned for its temperature-regulating, robust, and durable properties, the Moses Basket comes in a neutral Taupe tone to ensure it fits in with the look and feel of any nursery.

Each Moses Basket comes with a natural New Zealand made latex mattress that works with the wool and natural fibres in the fitted sheet to promote breathability and temperature regulation, as well as a washable jersey cotton cover which also keeps the mattress safe from spills and stains.

Knowing the busy lives of young families, the Moses Basket was designed to be lightweight and easily transportable throughout the home, or on the road. We’ve also ensured that it fits perfectly with the Nestling wooden stand. This add-on option provides a safe, bed-friendly height for newborn night feeds.
